Exploration Data Library

Are you looking for open file exploration data?

Australian Exploration DataSpectrumData’s Exploration Data Library service can assist you in your search for acquiring public access “open file” seismic and well log data. We have an extensive library archive of both State and Federal Government open file seismic and well log data sets which can be extracted, subset and delivered to cover your area of interest.

Our data archive includes land and marine open file field, pre-stack and post-stack processed seismic data sets and well logs. The library also includes support documents such as observation logs and survey reports where available. We can convert the data to any format you require and deliver the data on magnetic tape cartridge, optical storage media or hard disk to meet your requirements.

Whether you want a single well log, one seismic line or an entire survey, speak to SpectrumData about sourcing your open file exploration data requirements.

Our exploration data Library covers onshore and offshore data from the following Australian States and Territories including Federal jurisdiction waters:

  • Queensland
  • New South Wales
  • Northern Territory
  • Victoria
  • Tasmania
  • Western Australia
  • Federal Waters

If, in the unlikely case we do not have the data in our archive that you are seeking, we can readily source it for you.

Do you need the data converted (SEGD to SEGY etc), subset over acreage boundaries, or integrated with navigation?

In addition to supplying open file exploration data, SpectrumData can provide additional services which will add value to the data you require. These services include:

  1. Supply of data on specified media (including hard disk)
  2. Subsetting to boundaries or shot point ranges (including 2D & 3D seismic)
  3. Supply of both field and processed data formats and ancillary data (e.g. observer logs, navigation, etc)
  4. Supply of a wide range of well logs, and well log conversion services
  5. Access to a wide range of reports and studies on a permit or regional basis
  6. Conversion of hard copy seismic sections to SEGY, where digital data is not available

What are the benefits?

  • Quick and efficient access to data within your acreage or area or interest
  • Negates need and costs of reshooting data or licensing proprietary data
  • Cost effective and economic delivery of data on your media of choice
  • Data is archived and available for immediate delivery to meet your exploration deadlines
  • Can request data for entire State holding or at basin level or even just a line
